If you've ever made a boo-boo when creating a design for hundreds or even thousands of copies, you're going to love this blog post!
Recently, I designed a new look for our business cards. I was stoked to order new cards in crisp white (The others were just the opposite -- white wording on a black background.)
I ordered the cards from the beloved Vistaprint. I was so excited to get them, I chose rush shipping!
A few days later, I received the cards. When I opened the package, I hung my head in shame. Located on the backside of the business card, the alignment was off and it stuck out like a sore thumb!
This error was all my fault (I design 99.9% of our paper goods) I fixed the alignment before calling Vistaprint to resubmit a new order.
Days later, my new and improved, perfectly designed Brooke Holden Calligraphy business cards were in tow! Yay!
Now, what do I do with all these imperfect cards?
What to do with imperfect business cards
Notice the error is located on the backside of the card, and the front of the card is in perfect shape! I'm too much of a perfectionist to use these cards, but I'm no fan of tossing or wasting paper goods.
I was able to recycle the business cards to brand plain greeting cards. With a wax seal, wax and wax gun, the project was complete in no time!
When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
I purchased the greeting cards in bulk from Target and the wax, seals and embossing ink from Happy Jewelry Supplies Etsy shop. I used our Amazon Prime membership to get the wax gun shipped in two days, FTW!
