Christmas is 19 days away! I began scouring the Internet for the perfect homemade holiday gift.
This recipe is perfect for anyone on your Christmas list and easy enough to make, you can keep one for yourself!
Once you smell the minty scent, you’ll want to keep two :)
In addition to the ingredients for the recipe, I used Ball jelly jars. I picked up a pack of 12 at Walmart for less than $9.
DIY Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Time: 5 minutes
Yields 8 - ¼ cup servings
2 cups sugar
½ cup coconut oil
2 drops peppermint oil (peppermint extract will work, too)
1 drop green or red food coloring *optional*
Heat coconut oil 15-20 seconds.
Divide sugar into two equal sized portions.
Mix in first batch of sugar.
Add peppermint oil and food coloring.
Add second batch of sugar.
Continue to mix until desired consistency.
I filled each jar with 1/4 cup servings, perfect for its half-pint size.
Next, replace lid and screw tight.
Add a label or ribbon to gift.

In addition to the jars, I spent about $6 for the ingredients (I had coconut oil in the pantry.) For $14, I made 13 jars of Peppermint Sugar Scrub. What a deal!
Post your pictures on our Facebook page. I'd love to see how your scrub and jars turn out.
