Time to decorate our first Christmas tree! I went with a classic, timeless theme inspired by gold and silver. We purchased our 9-foot pre-lit tree from Sam's Club in Myrtle Beach.
Laser Cut Christmas Tree Ornaments
This Christmas season, my favorite ornaments are word ornaments. When I see them in the store, I'm a sucker and can't say no. I bought the Fa La La ornament from HomeGoods. The Merry Christmas ornament is sold at Target.

How to Decorate Christmas Tree with Ribbon
What you need:
- Assortment of wired ribbon
*Consider 2-5 inch wide ribbon. The contrast in width adds variation and character.
Cut 8-10 inch strips of wired ribbon.
Twirl ribbon by hand to form desired shape.
Place ribbon in between tree branches to fill.
Decorative Picks and Accent Ornaments - Christmas Tree Pick
In addition to gold and silver baubles, word and glitter ornaments and curled ribbon, I added Christmas tree picks to fill in sections of our tree. Decorative picks and stem are so easy to use and can really set your tree apart! We have about 12-14 picks placed throughout our tree.

Christmas Tree Topper
We topped our tree with a huge bow! We used silver and gold wired ribbon to crown our tree. Cindy Collom, a wonderful family friend who is an extremely talented florist tackled the bow for our first Christmas tree. We love it!

What kind of dog mom would I be if I didn't post this pic of my baby girl, Georgia?! Georgia is our spunky 3-year-old white Boxer who is full of personality. On this particular day, she had given up on Mom decorating the tree! (Today was Day 7 of decorating)
