I married my best friend April 30, 2016 and I'm still floating on Cloud Nine!
Steven and I were married at Lockhaven Farm in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina.
In 1994, my parents purchased the property. My dad built our family home, a horse barn and developed the land.
The renovation of the horse barn began in January 2016. Steven and my dad, Johnny, spent countless hours working at the farm. I can still hear the sound of hammering nails and smell the scent of fresh cut wood.
The two chandeliers located at the front and back of the barn are very special.
My mom bought the chandeliers at our annual church auction many years ago, knowing they would be used again for this special occasion.
I'm very fortunate and blessed to have had these girls by my side.

As I walked down the aisle, I laid eyes on Steven and he was all I could see. I had never seen him cry until our Wedding Day.
Our special friend, Lauri Doss, married us, making our ceremony even sweeter. Steven and I had written promises to each other. We read them aloud for the first time during our ceremony.
The love of family is life's greatest blessing.
Steven is a loyal friend and has a strong sense of brotherhood. It's an enviable trait I learned about him early. Waiting to go inside the reception hall is one of my favorite memories from our wedding day. Steven and I were introduced and shimmied down to dance our first dance as husband and wife.
In weeks leading up to the Big Day, we couldn't agree on a song for our First Dance. I insisted upon "Can't Help Falling in Love", while he wouldn't wane from "I Don't Dance". Ultimately, we compromised and I walked down the aisle to my pick and we danced our first dance to his choice.
Dad and I won the crowd with the biggest surprise of the evening! We swayed to "Forever Young" before busting moves to "Uptown Funk." Dad and I kept it secret while attending dance lessons for a month! We owe a big thanks to Rainee Kite with Bachata and Kizomba with Rainee Kite.
